FAQ

Where are you located?

We are a mobile showroom and will come to you anywhere in Gilbert, AZ!

What areas of the valley do you service?

We provide quality carpet, tile, laminate, waterproof luxury vinyl plank, and hardwood flooring for residents of Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and most surrounding cities.

If I purchased my own materials will you install them?

We only install materials that are supplied by Abel Carpet Tile And Wood. You wouldn’t bring a steak into a restaurant and ask them to cook it would you?

What should I do to prepare for carpet installation?

Please see below:
  1. Please move all small items off your furniture and floor. That includes emptying bookcases, china hutches, glass shelves, etc.
  2. Please empty everything off the floor of your closets, and remove all long hanging clothes.
  3. Disconnect all stereo, television, computers, and any other electrical equipment. The homeowner will need to move their own computer and reconnect all equipment.
  4. You may need to make special arrangements to have excessively large pieces of furniture moved, such as a grand piano or a slate pool table. The homeowner must also drain, disassemble, and reassemble any waterbeds, wall units, or custom office desks.
  5. Your doors may need to be cut down because your new carpet and padding may be thicker than your old carpet. The homeowner needs to have someone in mind to do this.
  6. Due to the rough backing of carpet and through the installation process, you may need to do a little paint touch up. We are extremely careful.
  7. Please don’t remove any existing tackless strip. The installer will remove all bad strip and replace it with new.

How long does carpet installation take?

Typically, we can install a four bedroom home including a family room and a hallway in one day.

Will seams be visible?

We cannot guarantee invisible seams, however, we are very careful when determining seam placement.

How do the installers stretch the carpet?

We use a power stretcher to stretch all carpet. Using a power stretcher provides a professional stretch and by power stretching, you won’t have ripple issues down the road.

How often should my new carpet be cleaned?

Most manufacturers recommend one to two times a year by a professional carpet cleaner with truckmount equipment and certified by the The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (I.I.C.R.C.)

What is your warranty?

Installation has a 2 year warranty. All products carry a manufacturer’s warranty.
